President reviews law and order situation in Karachi
A meeting was held at Bilawal House, Karachi today with President Asif Ali Zardari in chair to review law and order in Karachi with special reference to the recent incident of firing on a rally that resulted into loss of many precious lives.
Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Interior Minister Senator A. Rehman Malik were present during the meeting.
Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah briefed the President about the progress made so far into the inquiry of the unfortunate incident. He also briefed the President about various measures that have been put in place to ensure order in the city.
The President while condemning the brutal act expressed his deep sorrow and grief with the bereaved families.
He also directed that all necessary measures be taken for maintaining order in the city and said that the culprits involved in the firing incident be brought to justice.
