Senator Abbas Khan Afridi calls on President
President Asif Ali Zardari today advised the Government to increase seats for the FATA students in the medical and engineering universities and colleges of the country and also to regularize teachers working in FATA who have not yet been regularized and were on contract basis.
The President said this during his meeting with Senator Abbas Khan Afridi, Minister of State for commerce, who called on him today at the Aiwan-e-Sadr and raised these issues.
The President said that socio-economic development of the people of FATA was a priority for the Government and all possible steps are being taken by the government for the welfare and uplift of people of FATA and bringing them into the mainstream of national life.
