President Zardari leaves after attending NATO summit
CHICAGO: President Asif Ali Zardari left Chicago for home on May 22, 2012, after representing Pakistan at the NATO summit. During his stay in Chicago, President Zardari spelled out Islamabad's position on various issues related to the fight against terrorism and the need for a comprehensive approach to curbing militancy and moving towards the goal of peace and security in the region. He also discussed bilateral ties with a number of leaders from other counties, who attended the two-day NATO-ISAF meetings. The NATO summit discussed international support for Afghanistan beyond 2014, when most foreign troops will leave the country and hand over security responsibility to Afghan forces
