President Zardari urges setting up 'Energy Fund' for mega projects
BEIJING: President Asif Ali Zardari called for greater Chinese investment in infrastructure development, particularly mega energy projects, and proposed setting up an Energy Fund for mega projects, including hydro-power projects. During his meeting with President Hu Jintao on the sidelines of the SCO summit on June 7, 2012, President Zardari called upon the Joint Energy Working Group of the two countries, that held its second meeting last month in Islamabad, to find new ways in this regard. The two leaders discussed the whole gamut of bilateral relations and the recent developments taking place at the regional and international level.
